Washington, DC, April 12, 2010 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and its Maintenance Committee today announced that last week’s 25th Annual Maintenance Management Conference drew its highest attendance ever.

The conference, held this year in San Diego, CA, closed with 350 people participating – an increase of more than 16 percent over last year’s total of 292 Attendees. Additionally, the number of Conference Exhibitors increased from 63 in 2009 to 83 in 2010, a 30-percent gain. The number of recipients for the Maintenance Committee’s Technical Reward and Career Scholarship (TRACS) also grew this year to 30, up from 22 in 2009.

“We are thrilled to see the growth in the conference this year, which continues to provide a real and tangible benefit to our industry,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. “NBAA is very pleased to have a record turnout from Attendees and Exhibitors alike, and we thank everyone for participating.”

Brad Townsend, NBAA maintenance committee chair, was especially delighted with the growth in the Maintenance TRACS program. “Our congratulations go out to the scholarship recipients,” he said. “We’re proud to support this valued resource for helping people in the industry strengthen their business aviation careers.”

Currently in its fifth year, the Maintenance TRACS program is sponsored by the business aviation community. Included among the program’s supporters are aircraft, engine and avionics manufacturers, maintenance training providers and industry sponsors.

The Maintenance TRACS program is open to current and future A&P holders and other individuals interested in developing their technical and professional career paths in business aviation maintenance. Award recipients are able to attend model-specific courses at aircraft, engine and avionics training centers.
