Los Angeles, CA, March 18, 2022 – More than 400 industry professionals attended National Business Aviation Association’s (NBAA’s) International Operators Conference (IOC2022) in Los Angeles this week, gaining valuable insights into how the future of global business aviation is taking shape.

“As international business aviation continues to reemerge, so do the potential challenges – including remaining COVID protocols, and now the war in Ukraine,” said Brian Koester, CAM, NBAA director of flight operations and regulations. “NBAA and its International Operations Committee have been pleased to gather the industry’s best experts, to help attendees prepare for tomorrow’s business aviation landscape, in all parts of the world.”

In addition to the host of sessions focused on regional considerations and the latest COVID-19 protocols, discussions focused on e-plotting and paperless cockpits, the latest weather-related technologies and online resources, expert guidance on risk-assessment processes, international cybersecurity concerns and more. A special panel of FAA representatives hosted a session to provide guidance for international operators’ specific questions.

Five rising leaders in the international operations arena were honored with nearly $14,000 to help them excel in their business aviation careers. Read more about the recipients.

“More than any previous IOC, this year’s conference raised the bar in bringing the industry together to remain on top of the ever-changing global aviation landscape,” Koester concluded. “We look forward to moving forward on several of the conversations we had this week at our European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE2022) and other NBAA events this year.”

The 2023 International Operators Conference is slated for Feb. 13-15 in Austin, TX.
