Washington, DC, February 9, 2012 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) announced today that online registration is now open for those planning to attend the 2012 Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE2012), to be held March 27-29 in Shanghai.

Registration portals are available for Attendees, Exhibitors and members of the press, allowing registrants to sign up ahead of the show for complete access throughout the three-day event, including the Exhibit Hall and Exhibit Pavilion, the Static Display of Aircraft and all official programming, including the Opening General Sessions and the Education Sessions.

Those traveling to Shanghai from outside China to attend ABACE2012 will need a visa to enter the country, and some Attendees will be required by the Chinese Consulate in their home countries to have a visa invitation letter from a Chinese entity in order to obtain the required visa. The ABACE website has guidance, resources and contact information to ensure that Attendees have all of the paperwork necessary to apply for a visa to enter the country. Review the ABACE2012 visa information.

The availability of online Attendee registration for ABACE2012 comes as momentum continues to build for the show in the weeks leading up to ribbon cutting that will kick off its first day. The event organizers recently announced that Exhibitor space on the show floor has sold out, as has a first-of-its kind, enclosed Exhibitor Pavilion that has been added to accommodate additional Exhibitors. All of the world’s major aircraft manufacturers have formalized their support for ABACE2012 with written agreements to participate in the show. The U.S. government has signaled its support for ABACE2012, with U.S. Department of Transportation Deputy Secretary John D. Porcari signed on as a keynote speaker. Renowned publisher and commentator Steve Forbes, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Forbes Media, will serve as speaker for the gala dinner being held on the evening of March 27.

As Asia’s premier business aviation event, ABACE2012 is being presented in partnership with the Shanghai Airport Authority and co-hosted by NBAA, the Asian Business Aviation Association and the Shanghai Exhibition Company. The event – which will feature a lineup of business airplanes on display at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, more than 100 exhibits in the new Shanghai Hawker Pacific Business Aviation Service Centre, and a program of education sessions with experts on the Asia region – will take place from March 27 to 29, 2012.
