NBAA Charities and the National Business Aviation Association’s (NBAA’s) Certified Aviation Manager Governing Board established the Certified Aviation Manager Scholarship in 2014 to benefit individuals seeking to become NBAA Certified Aviation Managers (CAMs), as well as current CAMs who are renewing their certification. The scholarship promotes professional development in business aviation by providing financial support for qualified CAM exam candidates and current CAMs.
Scholarship awards may be granted in amounts that cover the cost of becoming a CAM or maintaining the credential. CAM exam candidates can apply for up to $1,225, which covers:
- the cost of the exam application,
- the CAM Study Guide and
- the CAM exam registration fee.
For current CAMs, the scholarship award covers: the $300 cost of recertification, which must be completed every three years.
This scholarship will be redeemable under the conditions established by NBAA Charities and the CAM Governing Board. Recipients are responsible for other costs associated with the scholarship, such as travel and lodging expenses. See application for details.
Applicants must be eligible to take the CAM exam within two years of the date of the scholarship award. They must also meet the minimum qualifications to take the CAM exam by submitting a completed CAM application to NBAA. Learn more about CAM requirements.
For all NBAA scholarships, applicants are limited to receiving one award per person, per year.
