The James Sullivan Aviation Scholarship was created in 2025 by NBAA Charities and the family and friends of the late James Sullivan to honor his outstanding personal contribution to the business aviation community. Named for a remarkable man whose strength of character inspired a high standard of caring in the aviation community, this scholarship recognizes those individuals who have and strive to achieve the highest accomplishments in aviation. These individuals should possess a passion for aviation, as James Sullivan did, and utilize their interest or involvement in business aviation to enhance the lives of others.
Awards will be made to U.S. citizens without regard to sex, race, religion or national origin. Scholarship recipients must use the funds by Dec. 31, of the following year, or risk forfeit of the award.
NBAA scholarship applicants are limited to receiving one award per person, every other year. Direct all questions about this application to scholarships@nbaa.org.
