Facing the biggest moment of her life – an opportunity to leave her stifling rural life – Nabila Abbas located her inner strength. “I told myself, you can make these 10 minutes a failure or make them worth 10 million moments,” she recalled of her interview at University of Management and Technology in Lahore, Pakistan.

Nabila earned a scholarship that day, allowing her to pursue her dreams of flight. Now she’s working to spread a message to Pakistani girls: there’s a place in the skies for you. “Aviation is a gift which allows you to connect to this world,” she tells them.
