Joe Peebles
Owner, JP Aerotechnics
Joe Peebles joined the U.S. Army with the express intent of following in his infantry father’s footsteps, but his dad had other plans for him, marching him back to the recruiting office to change his job selection to helicopter mechanic. Peebles served seven years as a Boeing AH-64 (Apache) helicopter mechanic and then transitioned to Boeing’s CH-47s as a door gunner and his love of aviation was born.
After his military service, he found himself at Gulfstream Aerospace building G650s, then in other maintenance positions in the industry, before discovering another love – entrepreneurship – when he founded JP Aerotechnics, specializing in AOG services for Part 135 operators in the Southeast U.S.
“Business aviation professionals are bonded by our awe of flight and the machines that produce it,” said Peebles. “This is our bond and there is nothing that can break it. What I like so much about this industry is that 99% of the people I meet within our industry share this passion.”
