Growing up in Dayton, OH, the birthplace of aviation, Jon Witteosch, knew he wanted to be a pilot from a young age. He got a private airman certificate as a teenager and then went to Ohio University for an aviation degree, where he interned with the university flying a King Air 350 to transport university executives.

A Gold Seal flight instructor, Witteosch later got an opportunity to fly an air ambulance, flying to over 40 countries in one year. Later at Delta Private Jets, he started and chaired the Professional Standards department.

Witteosch points to business aviation’s diversity as a key benefit to a career in the industry.

“Every day is something different,” said Witteosch. “We work with good people and have opportunities to grow into different positions.”
