Chris Kunkle
President, Central Coast Jet Center
Chris Kunkle is a third-generation business aviation professional – both his father and grandfather were entrepreneurs in the industry. As a kid, flying the Northwest backcountry with his dad shaped who is he today. Flying taught him responsibility, problem-solving and leadership. Working for the family business was a happy inevitability and after graduating from California State University, Chico, he joined the family’s FBO business, now running the Central Coast Jet Center – which supports business aviation as well as operations for the U.S. Forestry Service and the military. Kunkle also founded the Central Coast AirFest, which attracts more than 20,000 people each year. Also, he’s an avid aviation photographer and Instagram creator with more than 30,000 followers. Kunkle and his wife Tori have a daughter named Piper.
“This is more than just a business,” Kunkle says. “It’s a legacy and a lifestyle. We live and breathe it.”
