Connect on LinkedInA friend’s dad introduced Geoffrey Green to aviation as a kid, taking him to museums and a business aviation hangar. He joined the U.S. Air Force, working on fighter jet avionics, before working various maintenance positions, including a nostalgic position focused on dope and fabric aircraft. Mentors in the industry encouraged him to seek opportunities to grow beyond technician work, including as a safety manager and then management.
“I love airplanes, but once I got into business aviation, it’s all about the people,” says Green. ”I want to share the excitement with the future generation, to give them the same or better opportunities than I once had. It’s one of the few jobs that you can start as a tech and end up in leadership roles.”
