Mary Shad
Vice President of Client Experience, Northern Jet
Mary Shad grew up near Midwest general aviation airports, exposed to and intrigued by business aircraft from an early age. She obtained her private pilot certificate before college, intending to study in a professional pilot program. There she gained appreciation for the many other roles that make aviation tick. Switching to a professional aeronautics degree, Shad worked in FBOs, learning the industry from the ground up, before moving into flight training and flight operations. At Northern Jet, she began as flight operations manager and steadily worked up to her current role as vice president of client experience.
“I get to talk ‘airplane’ with our clients all day long. I’ve never lost that passion,” says Shad. “Not only is every day different, but every client is different, with different priorities and missions. The relationships I have with these clients is truly special. It’s so gratifying to understand their respective company cultures and serve each client on an individual level.”
