Brandi Rector was introduced to business aviation as a helicopter mechanic and aerial gunner in the U.S. Marine Corps, where she developed a strong passion for aviation. After transitioning to the civilian sector and becoming a mechanic, and later a pilot, she founded Semper Fly Helicopters and saw firsthand how business aviation drives innovation, opportunity and growth. The idea to start a flight school came at the suggestion of someone who believed Rector could make a real difference in aviation. Rector saw how much need there was for better training, more career support and a stronger sense of community.
“What excites me most about business aviation is the opportunity to create real, lasting impact, whether it’s helping a student achieve their dream of becoming a pilot or building programs that strengthen the industry,” said Rector. “It’s incredibly rewarding to watch people grow and succeed, knowing you played a part in opening that door for them.”
