Jacob Mergler discovered business aviation by accident. While working as an airline technician, Mergler was contacted by a recruiter from a large, fractional company. He and a colleague eventually served in various capacities at a number of business aviation organizations and companies – including as a technician, maintenance controller and director of maintenance. When Mergler’s colleague founded Jets MRO in 2023, Mergler joined as general manager. He is committed to aircraft maintenance as his craft, as well as to helping other technicians grow and thrive.
“Having the ability and responsibility to mentor up-and-coming technicians and those who have been around for a while is the most rewarding part of my position,” Mergler said. “With the flexibility and unlimited possibilities that business aviation brings, I know I have done my job when colleagues and employees reach their goals and love what they do. There is no better feeling than hearing from previous employees telling me how their goals have been achieved.”
