Joseph “Jesse” Hipp, CAM, has possessed an interest in aviation maintenance since childhood. He earned an A&P license from Iowa’s Indian Hills Community College in 2008 and although he was aware of business aviation, he began his career in the airline industry instead, working there until he was hired at IAC/Expedia Global LLC in 2022. Hipp progressed into his current position at IAC/Expedia Global LLC through networking, a constant drive for self-improvement and a desire to affect positive changes in his work environment. He earned his CAM credential in January 2025, through NBAA’s Six Months to CAM program and hopes to continue his career in business aviation until retirement.
“In business aviation, you never get bored; there is always something new to learn and improve upon,” said Hipp. “There is something very satisfying about solving a problem with an aircraft and watching it fly away on time. Also, the professionals in this industry tend to look out for each other and take care of each other. If I’m struggling to find a solution, there is always someone willing to help.”
