Josh Reckley
Chief Operating Officer
Otter Air Services
Education:
Indiana State University
Bachelor of Science, Professional Aviation Flight Technology
Growing up, Josh Reckley always wanted to be an airline pilot. After college, he flew for a regional airline but realized it lacked the dynamic nature and personal fulfillment he was looking for in a flying career. That led to a natural transition into business aviation – first helicopters, then fixed wing. After a very fulfilling role as a dual-rated pilot and assistant chief pilot at Amway Aviation, he was approached by one of the principals to build a Part 135 company from the ground up. Reckley and three close colleagues later launched Otter and have grown it into a thriving operation.
“What excites me most about business aviation is the dynamic nature of the work,” Reckley said. “Every day brings new challenges, missions and destinations. I enjoy flying the newest equipment and working within a tight-knit team while building strong, personal relationships with our clientele. It’s incredibly rewarding to support our clients in both personal travel and business productivity with an asset that’s both efficient and impactful.”
