Joshua Bell
Senior Engineer – Interior Research & Development
Textron Aviation
Education:
Wichita State University
Bachelor of Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Aviation isn’t a career path for Joshua Bell – it’s a family tradition. His grandfather served as a U.S. Marine Corps aviator, while his father worked as a pilot, an A&P maintenance technician and a quality inspector, initially at Yingling Aviation and later at Cessna. After completing a Bachelor of Engineering degree at Wichita State University, Bell continued that family tradition at Textron Aviation, where he is an engineer specializing in interior research and development. There, Bell participates in the company’s mentorship program as both a mentee and a mentor. He also contributes to the development of the industry’s next young professionals by supporting the company’s internship program.
“The further I get into my career, the more I see how connected people and technology are, and it ignites my passion to not only build airplanes, but build teams,” said Bell. “I started here as an intern and continue to support that program. Mentorship and internship programs improve the company culture for everyone.”
