Maria “Majo” Perdomo Cuevas discovered aviation through her uncle, a pilot whose passion for flying inspired her. At the time, she was pursuing dual undergraduate degrees in dance and analytics, but the fast-paced, purpose-driven environment of aviation quickly captivated her. After graduating, Perdomo Cuevas began her career as an operations analyst at an FBO. She immersed herself in her new role, asking questions, taking on new responsibilities and relentlessly seeking solutions. That propelled her into leadership, and today she serves as executive director of operational controls at Million Air.
“What drives me most is knowing I can be a mirror for someone else,” said Perdomo Cuevas. “I didn’t grow up in this industry, but I showed up, learned it, and made it my own. I want others – especially those without a clear path – to understand that impact doesn’t have a blueprint. You just have to show up, stay relentless and believe you belong.”
