It was a high school tour of Duncan Aviation with a family friend that set Mitch Patterson on a path to a career in aircraft maintenance. Initially, he served in the U.S. Navy as a machinist mate, performing maintenance and inspections on helicopter recovery systems. Later, he joined business aviation, networking his way through various maintenance positions at Fortune 100 companies. In 2024, he joined Executive Jet Management and will soon complete his Master of Business Administration in Aviation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Meanwhile, Patterson also reaches out to young people who are considering careers in business aviation.
“In business aviation, every day is different with new challenges, and there are so many different career paths and opportunities,” Patterson said. “I’m passionate about getting the next up-and-comers into business aviation and sharing this industry with them to help grow the next generation of young professionals.”
