With an eye on the future, NBAA’s Young Professionals in Business Aviation (YoPro) program enables aspiring young industry professionals to explore career options, while providing opportunities for interaction with others in the industry.

To help foster dialogue, NBAA regularly teams up with regional business aviation groups to host “roundtables,” including an upcoming event in Scottsdale, AZ on Sept. 27 in conjunction with the Arizona Business Aviation Association (AZBAA).

“We are fortunate to have NBAA partner with us for this year’s roundtable and networking event in Scottsdale,” said Douglas Young, a member of AZBAA’s leadership team. “It is important for NBAA to partner with regional groups like AZBAA to attract young professionals because of the resources and value NBAA adds to our industry. AZBAA’s partnership with NBAA helps us promote business aviation to young professionals on a regional level by establishing relationships with industry professionals in the area that create great opportunities for YoPros to begin or expand their business aviation career.”

In addition to regional events, the NBAA YoPro program is prominent at the association’s annual convention, which this year takes place Oct. 22-24 in Las Vegas, NV. The annual NBAA YoPro Networking Reception will be held on Oct. 22 from 5:30-7 p.m., and provides a valuable opportunity to network with current and future industry leaders.

“Networking is a crucial component in any industry, but especially in business aviation where the community is small,” said Hunter Watson, NBAA operations specialist. “When young professionals in the industry can network and share their experiences, business aviation benefits as the industry evolves over time.”
