Torch Lewis and Aviation International News Honored with NBAA’s 2002 Journalism Awards

Washington, DC – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) presented its journalism awards this morning during its Kickoff Media Breakfast on the opening day of the NBAA 55th Annual Meeting & Convention in Orlando. Torch Lewis of Business and Commercial Aviation magazine received the 2002 Platinum Wing Award, which recognizes excellence and lifetime achievement in journalism. The staff of Aviation International News received the Gold Wing Award, which is presented annually for excellent, accurate and insightful reporting of issues related to the business aviation industry.

Torch Lewis has delighted and informed B/CA readers for decades with his observations of the business aviation industry. The staff of Aviation International News is being honored for the October 2001 issue of the magazine, which covered post-9/11 effects on the aviation industry.
