NBAA-BACE – New Look, New Feel, New Energy

It takes six days to set up the 1 million square feet of exhibit space that makes up NBAA-BACE – and there’s many new and exciting features in this year’s show. “NBAA-BACE is the premier showcase for what’s new in the industry,” said Linda Peters, NBAA vice president of exhibits. “NBAA is constantly looking for new ways to provide energy and excitement on the exhibit hall floor.” Some highlights’ of this year’s event are the new UAS/UAM display area featuring eVTOL aircraft, and the New Products Showcase, which takes place on the opening day of the show.

NBAA-BACE Kicks Off With a Parade of Planes

Las Vegas is known for unique sites, but a caravan of aircraft rolling down the streets of the city is enough to stop anyone in their tracks. Between the overnight hours of Oct. 18-19, 50 workers moved 8 aircraft nearly 3 miles from Atlantic Aviation at McCarran International Airport to the Las Vegas Convention Center for the NBAA-BACE, which runs Oct. 22-24. The aircraft will make up the indoor aircraft display – a popular feature of the show. “There’s a lot of challenges that we have to plan for – the police escorts and wide load permits – so it’s organized and good project management.,” said Joe Hart, NBAA’s director of aircraft displays and regional forums.
