Job seekers and employers will see valuable benefits by attending NBAA’s free Virtual Career Fair on Wednesday, Aug. 12, from 12-3 p.m. (EDT). The online event will provide a platform for those looking for new positions to interact directly with recruiters using a suite of chat tools and virtual booths.
“We had been exploring the possibility of holding a virtual career fair long before the pandemic,” said Kirby Konz, NBAA senior manager, membership marketing. “When COVID-19 hit, many in our community found themselves looking for work, and it seemed like the timing was right. We are always looking for ways to support our members, and this event will allow job seekers and employers to connect in a meaningful way.”
Prior to the event, job seekers will be able to create a profile that includes their resume and a link to their LinkedIn page to introduce themselves to employers. On the day of the event, registered job seekers will be able to explore the employers in attendance, chat one-on-one with recruiters, and send follow-up notes. Attendees do not need to be an NBAA member to participate.
Employers who exhibit at the Virtual Career Fair will have the ability to create a customized booth and connect with qualified business aviation professionals from across the globe. They will also get access to a database with profiles and resumes of all registered candidates, plus featured job posting on the job seeker registration page.
After chatting with job seekers at the event in real-time, employers will be able to determine if they should move a candidate forward to a formal interview.
“For individuals who have recently received a WARN notice and expect to be looking for a new job, now is the time to be making connections and growing your professional network,” Konz said. “This is a great opportunity for job seekers to gain exposure to many different employers in one sitting, from the comfort of their home.”
The Virtual Career Fair is part of NBAA’s new BizAv Back to Work initiative.
