Connect on LinkedInThe decision to play college football at the Florida Institute of Technology led Letwan Sutton to an unexpected career in business aviation. FIT’s football team used an airplane sponsored by a booster to travel to games. By the fourth flight, Sutton knew he’d found his place.
After graduation, Sutton joined an aircraft manufacturer, working in lean manufacturing, but was drawn to the challenges aircraft owners face after the aircraft leaves the production line. He obtained a Masters of Business Administration in finance to cross the bridge between aviation and finance. Now he’s the aviation tax manager at MySky.
“The industry seems so big at first but it doesn’t take long to get to know people, and building those relationships helps you grow and learn,” Sutton said.
