NBAA and UAA to Present Corporate Aviation Career Seminar at 53rd Annual Meeting and Convention

Washington, DC, September 25, 2000 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and the University Aviation Association (UAA) together will present a Corporate Aviation Career Seminar for college students titled “NBAA and University Aviation Association: Reaching Future Business Aviation Professionals” on October 12, 2000, at the NBAA 53rd Annual Meeting & Convention in New Orleans.

Preliminary plans for this event include an opportunity for students to attend the NBAA Static Display at Lakefront Airport on the morning of Thursday, October 12. A panel discussion, which includes a complimentary lunch, will take place from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. and feature the following business aviation industry representatives: Don Baldwin, flight department manager of Texaco; Katha House, chief pilot of AC Aviation Services; Rebecca Pcolo, Lear captain with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.; and Bill Wagner, chief pilot of Townsend Engineering Company. Both Baldwin and Wagner are Members of the NBAA Board of Directors. Pete West, NBAA Senior Vice President, Government & Public Affairs, will moderate this session. Following the panel discussion, students will visit the NBAA Convention exhibits at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

Students are encouraged to bring resumes to the career seminar and ask questions about careers in business aviation. NBAA expects more than 100 students from various universities around the United States to attend.
