Washington, DC, June 28, 2001 – The Board of Directors of the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) recently approved the formation of a Local Business Aviation Organization Committee. This NBAA Standing Committee is composed of representatives from local business aviation groups across the United States. Its Interim Chairman will be Richard Schuller of Schuller Aerospace Services International Ltd., who also is the president of the Arizona Business Aviation Association.
Local business aviation groups (which are autonomous and not a part of NBAA) typically are formed by industry professionals who share the common goal of aviation system improvement. These volunteers regularly meet to discuss key regional aviation issues and problems, such as airport noise and access problems. Another frequent goal is to establish or improve a relationship with neighbors of local airports.
This new NBAA Standing Committee will facilitate nationwide interaction and communication among various local business aviation organizations,” noted NBAA Chairman Phil Roberts, president and CEO of PAR Travel Tech, Inc. “Additionally, the Committee will have direct access to NBAA’s Board and Staff with respect to issues identified by the Committee as critical to the safety, efficiency and acceptance of business aviation.
NBAA works closely with local business aviation organizations to resolve problems related to airport access, noise and other key issues.
