Women in Corporate Aviation Names Three Scholarship Winners at NBAA 59th Annual Meeting and Convention

ORLANDO, FL, October 19, 2006 – Women in Corporate Aviation International (WCA) announced three scholarship winners at the National Business Aviation Association’s (NBAA’s) 59th Annual Meeting & Convention.

The winners of 2006 scholarships worth over $4,600 are: Holly Neal, of Sebastopol, CA; Lauren Smalkoski of Racine, WI; and Kimberlie Brown of Washougal, WA, said Ava Sumpter-Shubat, president of Women in Corporate Aviation, in releasing the awards.

Neal is the recipient of the Inspection Authorization Scholarship sponsored by Aircraft Technical Publishers (ATP) and King’s School of Aeronautics; Smalkoski is the winner of the Cessna Commercial Pilot Scholarship; and Brown was honored with the WCA Career Scholarship sponsored by Coca-Cola.

All three women have goals for advancing careers in aviation. Neal currently works in maintenance at Sunset Aviation in Petaluma, CA, has an associate degree in aviation technology and is pursuing inspection authorization certification.

Smalkoski, currently a junior at the University of Dubuque majoring in flight operations, is planning to become a commercial pilot, and Brown also is pursuing studies for a career in aviation.# #\t#
