Washington, DC, Sept. 25, 2015 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) today commended leaders of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and the House Ways and Means Committee for introducing legislation to extend funding and program direction for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for six months.
The bill, introduced by Transportation and Infrastructure Chairman Bill Shuster (R-9-PA) and Ways and Means Chairman Paul Ryan (R-1-WI), could be considered by the whole House as early as next week. It would continue the FAA¹s existing structure and priorities through March 31, 2016, while debate continues on a long-term plan for the agency.
“We thank Chairman Shuster and Chairman Ryan for ensuring that the FAA can continue its essential work uninterrupted and we hope members of Congress will quickly approve this bill,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen.
