This comprehensive look at the factors affecting operational safety is designed to drive safety-enhancing discussions and initiatives within flight departments and owner-flown operations across the industry. “You have to be completely open and honest about your strengths and weaknesses,” said Mike Ott, communications team lead for the NBAA Safety Committee. “These Top Safety Focus Areas give [flight] departments specific areas in which to look, and then give them assistance in developing solutions.”
