San Antonio, TX, May 5, 2022 – The industry’s appetite for forward-looking, in-person events was on display at the National Business Aviation Association’s (NBAA’s) 2022 Maintenance Conference (NBAAMC), which ran from May 3-5 in San Antonio, TX. More than 1,000 people attended the event, which featured more than 160 exhibitors.

“There were two takeaways from this year’s Maintenance Conference,” said NBAA Director, Environmental and Technical Operations Stewart D’Leon. “First, enthusiasm was palpable on the exhibit floor, as people were able to meet again, face-to-face. Second, we didn’t just get back together – we moved forward, with thought leadership on some of the most pressing issues confronting the maintenance profession.”

To illustrate his point, D’Leon noted that the event’s sessions focused on solutions to global supply chain challenges, answers to common questions about sustainable aviation fuel, top considerations regarding in-flight internet connectivity, flight privacy in an era of “internet everywhere,” ADS-B availability and more.

The event was opened by keynote speaker Jonathon Cleck, a recognized executive coach, who spoke to the moment’s workplace climate in his remarks about mental fortitude, team alignment and culture development. Cleck is a retired Navy SEAL, a former senior federal air marshal and director at Greencastle Consulting.

Additionally, breakout sessions from manufacturers such as Dassault, Honeywell, Embraer, Textron and Rolls-Royce offered unequaled access to the specialists ready to field specific questions.

The 2023 NBAA Maintenance Conference is scheduled for May 2-4 in Hartford, CT.
