The ever-popular “Meet the Regulators” session is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 2 at NBAA’s Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) in Orlando, FL, with Peggy Gilligan, the FAA’s associate administrator for aviation safety, set to lead a panel of senior regulators.

“Meet the Regulators continues to be one of the most popular educational sessions at NBAA-BACE,” said Doug Carr, NBAA’s vice president of regulatory and international affairs. “This session gives attendees unique access to high-ranking FAA officials’ perspectives. We are especially pleased to have Peggy Gilligan join us for the session again this year.”

Gilligan oversees more than 125 field offices and her expertise covers a wide range of areas. She previously served as chief of staff at the FAA, and also worked in the chief counsel’s office. She was named associate administrator for aviation safety in 2009, after serving as deputy associate administrator for 14 years.

This year’s session will cover a variety of topics including:

  • Sharing of safety data
  • FAA’s new compliance philosophy
  • ADS-B equipage deadline
  • The upcoming 2016-2017 cold-weather season

NBAA-BACE attendees should attend this session to hear about regulations directly from the policymakers responsible for their development and oversight.

“Part 91 operators have ever-increasing exposure to, and interaction with, local FAA field offices,” said Carr. “With the FAA’s philosophy regarding safety and compliance evolving, this session is a must-attend for chief pilots, flight department managers, maintenance managers and others responsible for implementing safety programs and ensuring regulatory compliance.”
