NBAA Honors WASP With Meritorious Service Award

At the 2018 NBAA-BACE, the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) were awarded with Meritorious Service Award. These courageous women trained with the Army to fly missions during WWII to relieve male pilots for combat duty. The WASP played a crucial role in the outcome of the war, despite not being recognized for their contributions for many years.


Embraer Unveils Praetor 500 and 600 at NBAA-BACE

At the 2018 NBAA-BACE, Pete Agur, the chairman and founder of The VanAllen Group was presented with the 2018 NBAA Doswell Award. The Doswell Award recognizes lifelong individual achievement on behalf of and in support of the aims, goals and objectives of business aviation. Agur has been instrumental in the development of several NBAA committees and is active in the aviation community.


NBAA Honors Aviation Legend Sean Tucker With Humanitarian Award

During a special presentation at NBAA-BACE, NBAA awarded its Al Ueltschi Award for Humanitarian Leadership to Sean Tucker and the Bob Hoover Academy. Tucker co-founded the Academy in 2016 to inspire underprivileged youth through exposure to aviation.


Aviation Legends, Leaders Applaud Industry’s Fight Against ATC Privatization

In a video shown at the 2018 NBAA-BACE Day One Keynote, NBAA Board Chair Gen. Fig Newton thanked the general aviation community for its perseverance in the successful fight against ATC privatization. Members of Congress, as well as aviation legends and others who depend on business aviation, noted that without the grassroots efforts of thousands in the general aviation community, this fight could have been lost.

NBAA-BACE Parade of Planes Cruises Through Orlando

Watch several business aircraft take a “one-of-a-kind flight path” down the streets of Orlando to the 2018 NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE), as part of NBAA’s annual Parade of Planes. About 50 people helped guide three planes – a Kodiak, PC-12 and TBM – 9 miles overnight from Orlando International Airport to the Orange County Convention Center. The aircraft will be a featured part of NBAA-BACE at the indoor static display, Oct. 16-18, 2018.

Join NBAA and your industry peers for the Day 2 Keynote Session taking place on Wednesday, Oct. 17 from 10:30 to noon, where aviation innovator Bertrand Piccard will be among the guest speakers. Piccard co-piloted Solar Impulse 2, the first airplane to fly 26,000 miles around the world without a drop of fuel.
