Elevating Single-Pilot Risk Management:
Strategies for Safe Operations

The foundation of safety management is risk management. This involves the crucial process of identifying hazards, evaluating the risks they present and implementing effective measures to mitigate those risks. In line with this principle, the Single-Pilot Safety Standdown will serve as an immersive experience, illuminating the hazards that specifically affect single pilot operators. The aim is to assess the risks associated with these hazards and engage in productive discussions on actionable mitigations that can be implemented to ensure positive outcomes. This year’s standdown will take a data-driven approach, allowing you to identify potential risks within your own operations and equipping you with practical solutions to effectively mitigate them.

The Single-Pilot Safety Standdown will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m on Monday, Oct. 16, in conjunction with the 2023 NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE).
