NBAA has partnered with Aviation Medicine Advisory Service (AMAS), formerly Virtual Flight Surgeons, to offer members an exclusive 10 percent discount on the Complete Aeromedical Services Program (CASP). CASP offers a comprehensive approach, providing unlimited services for an annual per pilot fee. Program services include:
- Email and telephone consultation with an Aviation Medicine Advisory Service physician
- FAA waiver advocacy and case preparation
- FAA follow-up reporting and renewal submission
- 40% discount for pre-existing disqualifying medical conditions
- Corporate flight physiology and medical procedures/programs review
- Quarterly electronic aeromedical newsletter
Additional services are offered on a fee-for-use basis.
Aviation Medicine Advisory Service serves a wide range of clients from the individual pilot to corporate flight departments to aviation associations, and provides a full-time team of board certified aerospace medicine physicians with a wealth of commercial and military aviation medicine experience. Aviation Medicine Advisory Service does not perform physical exams nor act as aviation medical examiners (AMEs), which allows the physicians to provide confidential service. Services are delivered through electronic means to provide global assistance to the aviation community. CASP is your one source for aeromedical advice and FAA medical certification assistance, saving you time and money – and protecting your career.
NBAA members who have already taken advantage of this member benefit share why it has been valuable for them:
Since 2001, the AMAS physicians and staff have provided outstanding support to our flight department. As the pilot group aged we have experienced the normal share of physical problems and corrective surgeries. Our association with AMAS alleviated stress in dealing with these ailments by educating the pilot concerned, providing a path that included the necessary medical steps to retain flight status as well as minimize downtime due to errors in the level of medical care and FAA paperwork required from non-AME physicians and medical specialists. From a management point of view, AMAS has been a key resource in keeping our Department safe and our pilots healthy and flying.
AMAS helped me understand the steps I needed to take to fly again after a severe head injury. They allowed me to lean on their knowledgeable physicians, giving comfort and support during a time of medical concerns in my flying career. I trust AMAS so much that my company offers their services to all our pilots. They literally saved my flying career – we will not be in business without AMAS by our side!
Member companies can take advantage of this service on a three-year contract for an annual per-pilot fee, using code SAVE10 to enjoy the 10 percent NBAA member savings (subject to member verification).
