NBAA members attending the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) AirVenture Oshkosh will find the association’s tent in a new location for 2016, but still the place to meet with NBAA staff and other members, as well as the same amenities, including the “porch” that faces the flight line, perfect for watching the afternoon air shows.

The tent, which is air conditioned, has moved down Wittman Road to the south side of the Brown Arch. AirVenture Oshkosh runs July 25 to 31 at Wittman Regional Airport (OSH) in Oshkosh, WI.

As in years past, NBAA’s Safety Committee will hold an informal meet-and-greet session on Tuesday, July 26, between 10 a.m. and noon at the NBAA tent.

“We encourage all attendees to stop by and hear from leaders in business aviation safety, and talk about the issues NBAA is working hard to address, including those affecting single-pilot operators,” said Peter Korns, NBAA’s manager of operations, who will be on hand at NBAA’s tent.

“AirVenture provides an opportunity to meet informally with the officials and members of other aviation organizations, such as EAA and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association,” added Steve Hadley, NBAA’s regional program manager and Southwest regional representative, who will also be attending the event.

“In meeting the members of other organizations, I’m never surprised to find NBAA members among them, because what attracts people to aviation is not limited to a single community,” Hadley said.

Hadley added that he and others from NBAA plan to attend the gathering of state aviation officials held every year by the National Association of State Aviation Officials.

“This is but one of several such gatherings NBAA will attend during the week, and there are others that happen spontaneously during the event when members of different aviation communities are united by a common topic,” he said.
