Washington, DC, May 16, 2005 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) today unveiled a new term life insurance program for pilots, developed in conjunction with the Pilot Insurance Center (PIC), an NBAA Member Company located in Addison, TX. The NBAA/PIC term life program is intended to help Members get access to quality coverage at an affordable price.

Competitively priced term life programs also will be available for other members of flight departments, including technicians, schedulers, flight attendants and administrative personnel.

“NBAA is pleased to offer this policy in conjunction with the insurance professionals at the Pilot Insurance Center,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. “The NBAA/PIC term life rates for pilots are exceptional and most likely cannot be matched by other plans. Our term life programs for non-pilot members of flight departments also are extremely competitive.”

According to Bolen, NBAA Members, especially aviators, have expressed interest in obtaining adequate, affordable term life insurance coverage, which often can be difficult to find at reasonable rates.

Pilot Insurance Center President William Fanning agrees with Bolen’s assessment.

“Pilots have special challenges when purchasing life insurance,” Fanning said. “The fact is that most life insurance companies and agents don’t understand the actual risks involved in aviation, and are unable to find pilots the most cost-effective coverage. We hope that pilots in search of comprehensive coverage for themselves or other flight department staff will take advantage of our quality, low-cost life insurance policy.”

The Pilot Insurance Center is an independent insurance agency founded and staffed by pilots for the purpose of providing aviators with low-cost, high-quality life insurance.

For more information, NBAA Members should contact The Pilot Insurance Center at (800) 380-8376, or visit the NBAA web site to obtain a real-time quote.
