Chris Broyhill – CAM Fellow

Dr. Chris Broyhill, CAM, is one of the industry’s most well-known and respected authorities on business aviation compensation. A retired Air Force fighter pilot, Broyhill is an industry veteran with over 40 years of aviation experience who has held multiple leadership positions. He has led several scientific research projects concerning personnel retention, compensation and
leadership on behalf of NBAA since 2017 and has published two books that feature the results of his work.

Broyhill’s research led to his invention of the AirComp Calculator, a one-of-a-kind online engine that provides scientific compensation analysis through a proprietary methodology. The AirComp Calculator’s data has been used in detailed studies conducted for over 200 business aviation operators, and the engine itself enjoys a subscriber base composed of national and regional management companies, corporate operators, high-net-worth individual flight departments, human resources compensation personnel, and business aviation professionals at all levels.

Broyhill holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the United States Air Force Academy, an M.A. in National Security Studies from California State University, and a Ph.D. in Aviation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He is an outstanding graduate of the U.S. Air Force Fighter Weapons School and is currently working on his Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) credential.
