Mark McIntyre – CAM Fellow

Mark McIntyre, CAM, has spent over four decades in business aviation. He spent 18 years with a Fortune 100 company, serving 8 years as Chief Pilot. He has spent the last 26 years working for a family office, with most of these years in the capacity of Chief Pilot and Director, Flight Operations. Both operations involved international operations and diverse aircraft fleets, including mid-size and ultra long-range jets, twin-turbine helicopters and amphibious floatplanes.

Although McIntyre has a broad range of Business Aviation experience, he has specific expertise in international operations, faatigue risk management, sustainability, pilot development, process development and safety management systems.

Throughout his career, McIntyre has been active in business aviation industry groups, serving on the Bombardier Global Advisory Board, the Gulfstream Customer Advisory Board, the Chief Pilots Roundtable, the NBAA CBP-Industry Facilitation Committee and the Pacific Northwest Business Aviation Association.

McIntyre is currently a member of the NBAA International Operators Committee, the International Standards-Business Aviation Operations (IS-BAO) Progressive Stage III Working Group and the NBAA Board of Directors.

McIntyre holds an Airline Transport License for Multi-Engine Land, Single-Engine Land & Sea, and Helicopters. He is a Certified Flight Instructor for Single & Multi-Engine Airplanes, Helicopters, Instrument Airplane & Helicopters, and Gliders. McIntyre is type-rated on seven civilian jet aircraft.

McIntyre graduated from Claremont McKenna College with a dual major in Political Science and Psychology. He has pursued Graduate Studies in Finance and Marketing and, in addition to CAM accreditation, has earned the NBAA Safety Manager certificate and the Cornell University Women in Leadership certificate.
