In addition to her career in engine overhauls and heavy maintenance on legacy aircraft, she volunteers as judge for the Aerospace Maintenance Competition and is actively involved in the Professional Aviation Maintenance Association and Westchester Aircraft Maintenance Association.
Kempsey, who previously worked in tooling design for Pratt and Whitney, GE, and Rolls Royce engines, also played a key role helping NBAA’s Maintenance Committee give $450,000 in scholarships during the Virtual Maintenance Conference. “I appreciate opportunities for mentorship and spending time with people who share the same passion for aviation,” she said.
