Evelyn Merkle’s first business aviation experience was by chance – she applied for an administrative position that just happened to be in the company’s corporate flight department. Her now-boss showed such a contagious passion and enthusiasm for aviation that she was hooked. Merkle has quickly advanced in the industry and now serves as the Ohio Regional Business Aviation Association’s Scholarship Chair, doubling applicant submissions and recruiting a diverse panel of interviewers.
Merkle says the most rewarding part of her career are the people she works with.
“The kindness, helpfulness, and enthusiasm I’ve encountered along my journey have really helped shape the vision of the kind of professional I aim to be,” Merkle said. “Additionally, I find continuous education to be very important, and there is no shortage of content to learn or people to share their knowledge in this industry!”
