NBAA YoPros at EAA AirVenture 2022 in Oshkosh, WI.

July 28, 2022

Current and aspiring Young Professionals in Business Aviation (YoPros) gathered for networking and information sharing during a YoPro Social Hour held at the NBAA tent during the annual EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, WI.

“There are so many great opportunities within NBAA and the industry; no matter who you are or where you come from, there’s a place for you in aviation,” said Molly Hitch, NBAA senior manager, professional development. Hitch added that NBAA has many resources for those thinking about coming into the industry, including information on the association’s website about business aviation careers, scholarships and internships.

Among those on hand for the social hour were members of the Tango 31 Aero Clube, a group of young Texas aviators led by Kevin Lacy, who started the non-profit organization to provide a venue for teenagers to explore opportunities in aviation.

Current NBAA YoPro members greeted those who wanted to learn more about joining the group and the new YoPro Go! program.

“The program gives you the tools to help bring aviation education and outreach, networking, advocacy and mentoring opportunities to your community, no matter if you’re in a city, rural area or college – it has you covered,” Ian Lumpp, the vice-chair of the YoPro Council and director of business development at FLYING Magazine.
