Risk management is taken into consideration in all aspects of business aviation, but companies need to continuously update their security practices to face new security challenges. NBAA’s newly updated security matrix gives organizations the information they need to make the right decisions for their flight departments. “Pilots are trained to use checklists, and what this document provides for a non-security person is a checklist that you can follow to be able to mitigate and be aware of what the risks are,” said Bob Pocica, BNCIL LLC, founder and CEO. “It’s a pre-flight checklist to be able to look at various components, such as where are you going, who’s on board, what’s the risk at the outbound and the arrival city and what the preparation is for ground transportation.”
This week, NBAA Flight Plan host Pete Combs speaks with:
- Greg Kulis, L Brands, pilot, flight operations security coordinator
- Bob Pocica, BNCIL LLC, founder and CEO
- John Sullivan, Welsh-Sullivan Group, managing partner
