Public Transportation

Portland’s TriMet MAX light rail stops 300 times a day at the front door of the Oregon Convention Center, connecting riders to downtown, surrounding neighborhoods, the Oregon Zoo and Portland International Airport (PDX).

Portland’s Streetcar’s Central Loop stops at the MLK Lobby entrance every 15 minutes.

TriMet’s Bus Line No. 6 also stops at the MLK Lobby entrance and provides access to downtown stops and outlying areas.

Parking

Onsite parking is provided in the Oregon Convention Center’s underground garage.

  • A dynamic rate of $12 to $20 will be charged at parking garage entry during events.
  • Parking fees must be paid with credit or debit card. OCC is a cashless building.
  • The garage generally opens at 6 a.m.
  • Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Overnight parking is prohibited.
  • Allow ample time for parking. Event schedules and area traffic may impact arrival and departure times.

Enter the garage through the NE Lloyd Boulevard (Parking Level 1) or NE First Avenue (Parking Level 2) entrances. Clearance on Parking Level 1 is 7 feet. Clearance on Parking Level 2 is 9 feet. There are designated motorcycle-only parking spaces in the garage. Motorcycles pay the regular parking rates. The Oregon Convention Center garage does not accommodate RVs, campers, trucks with trailers and similar oversized vehicles.

Accessible Parking

Both levels of the Oregon Convention Center parking garage provide accessible spaces within easy access of elevators. There are 10 accessible spaces on Parking Level 1 and 11 accessible spaces on Parking Level 2. Parking Level 2 offers accessible areas with a 9 foot ceiling clearance to accommodate adapted vehicles. Accessible parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

The Oregon Convention Center parking garage offers four electric vehicle charging stations, two on each level. Spaces are indicated by brightly lit green murals and are available on a first come, first served basis. Applicable prices apply at all stations. EV charging adapters provide 240V fast charging. Charging stations are part of the Blink Network.

Bicycle Parking

The Oregon Convention Center provides free bike racks on both levels of the parking garage and outside all main building entrances. Bicycle parking is free in all areas. Visit Portland’s Bicycle Trip Planner to help plan your trip.

Street Parking and Additional Area Parking

There are several privately operated parking garages/lots in the area surrounding the convention center. Each location has its own pricing, schedule and availability. NOTE: Some privately owned lots around the Oregon Convention Center promote “convention center parking,” but these are not operated by the Oregon Convention Center. There are 566 metered parking spaces within three blocks of the Oregon Convention Center.

Drop-Off/Pick-Up Zones

Short term drop-off/pickup zones are available adjacent to the convention center on NE Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) Boulevard and on NE Holladay Street.

Car Rental Discounts
