About the Speaker: Sunshine McCarthy, Baldwin Safety & Compliance

Sunshine McCarthySunshine McCarthy is an accomplished training facilitator and speaker and has broad international business experience working with the aviation industry throughout the world. Through her career, she has gained considerable experience and expertise in the areas of aviation safety, Safety Management System (SMS), organizational management, training and staff development. Today, she works with organizations to establish and enhance their SMS and safety culture. Prior to joining Baldwin Safety & Compliance, Sunshine held leadership roles at ServiceElements International, a business aviation organizational development company, and MedAire, Inc., a service provider to the aviation industry. Prior to that, she held a number of positions with US Airways, including training specialist and manager of cabin safety – the latter of which gave her responsibility for all safety issues related to the aircraft cabin environment. She has also worked as a community development volunteer with the U.S. Peace Corps in Cape Verde, Africa. Sunshine holds a certificate in aviation safety from the University of Southern California, a Bachelor of Science degree in human resources from Geneva College and a Master of Arts degree in education from Prescott College. In 2014, she earned a certificate in just culture. Currently, Sunshine is vice president, business development & education with Baldwin Safety & Compliance, and she serves on the SMS Subcommittee for the United States Helicopter Safety Team.



Any person who attends an NBAA convention, conference, seminar or other program grants permission to NBAA, its employees and agents (collectively "NBAA") to record his or her visual/audio images, including, but not limited to, photographs, digital images, voices, sound or video recordings, audio clips, or accompanying written descriptions, and, without notifying such person, to use his or her name and such images for any purpose of NBAA, including advertisements for NBAA and its programs.
