Washington, DC, September 9, 2002 – The First Annual Latin American Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (LABACE), originally scheduled for January 2003, has been changed to March 13 to 15, 2003. LABACE is hosted jointly by the Associação Brasileira de Aviação Geral (ABAG) in Brazil and the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) in the United States.

The new dates for LABACE2003, which resulted when space became available at São Paulo’s TransAmerica Expo Center in March, will provide enhanced opportunities to interface with officials from the new Brazilian government that will be in place from January 1st on,” said NBAA President Jack Olcott. “Furthermore, Brazil is making significant changes in the regulations and the management structure affecting aviation, and LABACE will be a unique opportunity to obtain first-hand information on their consequences.”

We are looking forward to this opportunity to address the needs of the expanding Latin American business aviation market,” noted Rui Aquino, ABAG Chairman. “We anticipate an exciting and informative Conference in March.

LABACE2003 will feature indoor exhibits at the TransAmerica Expo Center and a Static Display of business aviation aircraft at Congonhas Airport. It also will offer Informational Sessions on a variety of business aviation issues, particularly safety and security concerns.

NBAA Member Companies earn annual revenues approaching $5 trillion — a number that is about half the gross domestic product — and employ more than 19 million people worldwide.
