NBAA Announces 2003 NORDAM Dee Howard/Etienne Fage Scholarship Recipient

Orlando, FL, October 7, 2003 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) today announced the recipient of the 2003 NORDAM Dee Howard/Etienne Fage Scholarship. Elaine M. McLaughlin will receive $2,500 toward her studies at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

The NORDAM Dee Howard/Etienne Fage Scholarship was created by The NORDAM Group to encourage students who are pursuing education in the fields of aerospace engineering and aeronautical systems maintenance engineering. It is named in honor of two aerospace engineering pioneers, Dee Howard and Etienne Fage, and it is administered by NBAA.

Elaine Marie McLaughlin of Lakewood, OH is pursuing her B.S. in management of technical operations at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. She earned her airframe and powerplant certificate from Columbus State Community College in 2001. She volunteers regularly with various groups, including Women in Aviation and the International Women’s Air and Space Museum. Her goal is to become an aviation maintenance manager with a long-term goal of running a flight department.
