Orlando, FL, October 7, 2003 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) has selected three students in aviation-related collegiate programs to receive Professional Development Program (PDP) scholarships from the United States Aircraft Insurance Group (USAIG). Darren R. Schultz of University of North Dakota, Wendi M. Sellers of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Andrew M. Wittstrom of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University each will receive $1,000.

NBAA, in cooperation with the University Aviation Association (UAA), has developed the Professional Development Program to train future flight department leaders. Established training organizations and educational institutions provide management training courses in several different media, including Internet courses, video courses and seminars.

Darren Robert Schultz of Grand Forks, ND is a junior pursuing his B.S. in commercial aviation and air traffic control at the University of North Dakota. She has worked as an air traffic control specialist with the Department of Transportation and FAA and has more than 10 years of experience with tower, radar, non-radar and other air traffic operations. Sellers recently graduated with honors from Embry-Riddle with a B.S. in professional aeronautics. She would like to develop a career in the field of airport management.
