NBAA Staff Expands to Include Two New Regional Representatives

Washington, DC, July 12, 2000 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) welcomes two new Regional Representatives to the NBAA Staff. Dean R. Saucier will cover business aviation in the Northeast Region of the United States, and David M. Sheehan will monitor the Southeast Region.

Dean Saucier, an experienced aviator with 6,000 hours of flight experience, has been involved with business and general aviation for more than 20 years. He has served in a number of sales and marketing positions with such firms as Beech, Gulfstream and Commander. Saucier will be based in Connecticut, and his territory will include the states of Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont.

Dave Sheehan managed Mobil Oil’s flight department before retiring in 1996 to pursue other business interests in Asia. He served on NBAA’s Board of Directors for eight years and was Vice Chairman of the Board until his retirement from Mobil. He becomes the first NBAA Regional Representative to have ever managed a corporate flight department. An experienced aviator with thousands of hours of flight experience, Sheehan will be based in Haymarket, VA. His territory includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.

NBAA Vice President, Membership Joe Ponte noted that Saucier “will bring an energy, enthusiasm and wealth of experience to this new Regional Rep post.” Of Sheehan, he added, “Dave will bring a wisdom and maturity to the Southeast Regional Rep position, which will provide NBAA’s regionalization initiatives with invaluable and unique perspectives.

Both Saucier and Sheehan will begin their duties with the Association on July 17. They join existing Regional Reps John Balsiger for the Midwest Region, Daniel Burkhart for the Western Region and Paul H. Smith for the Southwest Region.
