Washington, DC, February 1, 2012 – With less than two months to go before the opening of the 2012 Asian Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition (ABACE2012) in Shanghai, an unprecedented level of Exhibitor interest has led to a sold out Exhibit space, not only on the main show floor, but also in a new pavilion area created to accommodate the added demand. “This news is further evidence of ABACE’s standing as Asia’s premier business aviation event,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. “We created a first-of-its-kind, enclosed Exhibitor Pavilion specifically to accommodate additional Exhibitors, and to see that area sell out along with our original floor space underscores the significant interest in the show in China and across the Asian region. Clearly, momentum continues to build for a strong show that will give Exhibitors an unparalleled opportunity to demonstrate their products and services, and showcase the value of business aviation to a fast-growing marketplace.”

Bolen noted that the space on the ramp for the ABACE Static Display of Aircraft at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport is also near capacity, with 26 aircraft scheduled for display, and only a small number of slots still available. View the ABACE2012 Static Display layout and list of aircraft.

“All the major business aircraft manufacturers will have aircraft on display at the show, but there is still time for other companies to have a highly-visible presence in the Static Display area,” Bolen said.

ABACE2012 is being presented in partnership with the Shanghai Airport Authority and co-hosted by NBAA, the Asian Business Aviation Association and the Shanghai Exhibition Company. The event – to be held March 27-29, 2012 – will include over 100 exhibits in the new Shanghai Hawker Pacific Business Aviation Service Centre and in a new, fully enclosed pavilion located immediately adjacent to the main hangar.

The news that the ABACE2012 Exhibit floor and Static Display are at or near capacity comes amidst a number of other developments demonstrating the growing momentum for the show as its opening day draws near. Some of the best-known brands in business aviation are signing up for ABACE2012 sponsorships, which will give companies an outstanding visibility opportunity with top business leaders, decision-makers and buyers from China and across the Asian region. The U.S. government has signaled its support for the event, with U.S. Department of Transportation Deputy Secretary John D. Porcari scheduled to be among the featured speakers at the ABACE2012 Opening Session. And a full program of education sessions, moderated by experts on the Asian region, has been scheduled to take place throughout the event.
