From a young age, Alison Wynne knew she wanted to be around aviation as she watched airplanes through the airport fence in Kalamazoo, MI. She’s not from an aviation family, but her grandfather told her there are always people willing to help – she just had to find them.

This advice sent Wynne to local aviation events to meet people and learn more about the industry. She became an active volunteer, pilot and later obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Western Michigan University – College of Aviation. Wynne now serves as the Aviation Practice Leader for Brown & Brown.

“Business aviation is here to stay,” Wynne said. “We need to introduce students to business aviation. Anyone can be involved – we just need to help people understand the opportunities.”
