Connect on LinkedInA chance encounter with a U.S. Air Force recruiter while holiday shopping led Jay Gallagher to a career in aircraft maintenance. After military service, Gallagher got his A&P and worked as a technician, then became a maintenance manager for an aircraft charter and management company, where a meeting with a client led to another opportunity. He was introduced to Aviation Search Group, where he is now a managing director. Gallagher appreciates the career choices business aviation provides people in rural areas without relocating to major airline hubs and the opportunities available for veterans.
“After leaving the Air Force, like many veterans, I struggled to find a purpose,” Gallagher said. “Now I change people’s lives by helping them find opportunities they never thought they could have and help companies find people to move their company to the next level.”
